About the Event
Join Friends of Pachaug Forest and the Voluntown Historical Society for a spooky good time at Hell Hollow. We’ll meet at the Pond on Hell Hollow Road. You can park in lots on both sides of the pond, or if lots are full, park on one side of the road to allow for traffic to continue down the road. After completing the hike, we can head over to Wiley School for some post-hike seasonal treats, and for some further discussion, shared knowledge, and socializing.
This hike is about 4 miles and ranks as moderate given some slight inclines and rocky terrain. It passes along a stream and Phillips (Driscoll’s Pond) before returning to Hell Hollow. We’ll try to share some history and enjoy the sites during the stroll and especially during the post-hike snack gathering to get us in the Halloween spirit!
