About the Event
Join Friends of Pachaug Forest member Walter Cwynar on a fantastic hike to view some native Chestnut trees. See Native American Chestnut trees and Backcross Breed Chestnut trees, learn why there are so few of the trees, and experience a wonderful trail in the forest.
Meet down the dirt road in the small parking lot off Colbridge Road in Plainfield, CT. This hike is about 2 miles and is considered moderate. Leashed dogs are welcome. We’ll try to share some history and enjoy the sites during the stroll to get us in the Walktober spirit!
